Special Competitions

Ringer, Birdie, Chip-In Competition

Fee to enter is $18; it includes all three competitions. The current competition "year" is November 16th of the current year through November 15th of the following year. Birdies, Chip-ins, and Ringers will only be recorded for official Ladies' play days (and after a member has paid for the current period.) For the Ringer Competition, your lowest score on each hole is tracked; both gross and net Ringer prizes are awarded. Winners are announced at the annual Holiday and Awards Luncheon held in December.

Hole-In-One

The fee for entering this "club" is $5, payable to the Hole-In-One Chairperson. All holes-in-one must be at Quail Creek (on any day of the week) and must be witnessed by at least one other player. Members of the Hole-In-One club are entitled to a drink (value no more than $5) at the Grill for a period of one week after a hole-in-one is scored. If more than one person has a hole-in-one on the same day, the club member is entitled to only one drink. After the one week period, the winner(s) will pay the bar bill, and may keep any remaining balance. Each time a hole-in-one is scored, a new Hole-In-One club is started. A player may join the the Hole-In-One club at any time.

Interclub Competition

The competition is played by 7 (seven) Green Valley clubs from May through August. Standing Rules for Interclub play are established by the Green Valley Interclub Committee. Points are accumulated by each Club Team throughout the competition. Winners are declared for net points accumulated. The Quail Creek Interclub Team is made up of members who have indicated their availability for each event, and have qualified by playing to their ability, as indicated by improving their handicap index from the prior period.
