RINGER, BIRDIE, CHIP-IN COMPETITION

Fee to enter is $18.00 and includes all three competitions. The current competition “year” is November 16th of the current year through November 15th of the following year. Birdies, Chip-ins, and Ringers will only be recorded for official Ladies’ play days (and after a member has paid for the current period.) For the Ringer Competition, your lowest score on each hole is tracked; both gross and net Ringer prizes are awarded. Winners are announced at the annual Holiday and Awards Luncheon held in December.

INTERCLUB COMPETITION

The competition is played by 7 (seven) Green Valley clubs from May through August. Standing Rules for Interclub play are established by the Green Valley Interclub Committee. Points are accumulated by each Club Team throughout the competition. Winners are declared for net points accumulated. The Quail Creek Interclub Team is made up of members who have indicated their availability for each event, and have qualified by playing to their ability, as indicated by improving their handicap index from the prior period.

2) Telegraph Tournament — A one-day net tournament.

These tournaments are played in conjunction with regularly scheduled QCLGA play day games. Prize money awarded for these two tournaments comes from your Southern District dues.

Members of SDWGA are also eligible to participate in SDWGA sponsored tournaments held at various courses throughout the year. These tournaments are the Winter Scotch — a one-day Stableford partner’s tournament, the Spring Best Ball — a two-day partner’s best ball and the Fall Partners — a two-day Gross and Net Stableford tournament.

Entry forms for these away SD tournaments can be found on the SDWGA website.
